We got to Houston a day early so we would be on time. We were suppose too disembark at 4 Pm on Nov 16 but we were held up till 11 am on the the 17th because 3 busloads of people were held up at the airport. We don't mind waiting for people but because of the delay our port of call in Roatan Honduras was cancelled and a full day of sailing was cancelled. Our new port was to be Costa Maya. Well meanwhile while we were stuck in Houston we had purchased drink cards for $397.00 apiece, they were to include all our drinks, but when the ships at port they cannot sell any decent liquor or beer.

So then we finally leave and we get out to sea we realize that there is a private group the Chumley Bears and they are a group of over 500 gay men. The entire back end of the boat was used strictly for them, one lounge, and a club. We do not feel it was fair that we paid for this cruise and only were allowed to use a portion of the ship. Most of the Bears were very decent people but there were several incidences that were very obscene and my male friend was confronted in the mens bathroom by two of them one night at the nightclub. We feel very strongly that we should have been informed of this group when we booked and that parts of the ship would be off limits to us!

When we finally got to our first port of call Costa Maya, we literally get to the dock where the other cruise ships are and we back out and left. The captain comes on about 1/2 hour later and says it was to windy to port. We paid $200 for each port and we were refunded $12.75 and guest services would not help us. We did finally get to port in Belize and Cozumel but we got their late and had to board early. We didn't get to spend very much time at either port. And when we got back to Houston to disembark they hustled us off the boat as fast as they could. This cruise was terrible and I know we had bad weather but they did absolutely nothing to make it better but apologize! We were very tired of being apologized to. I would absolutely never recommend this cruise to anybody! We really did try to have fun and make the best of it but we were so glad to end the vacation.
