This was our 22 cruise with carnival. Let's start with the beginning, first of all we get to the port and there is no platinum or diamond line, had to wait in line for ever, We enjoy what little perks you get as a platinum cruiser. We get to our room it was freezing the thermostat didn't work, the bathroom sink spigot was broke but the room was ok clean. We go up to the Lido deck and want to smoke, you cant cause there refueling, we understood and went to the Casino, where the ashtrays were overflowing and no one around to empty them ok went to the muster drill thinking were going to sail away soon overlooked all of the nonsense, but we never left port till 9:30 pm no explanation from the captain so of course you think the worst.... never did get an answer. The casino didn't open till 1 am was to tired by then went to bed and froze our tushes off. The next morning we go to the lido deck to smoke and have a cup of coffee, well needless to say the smoking section was filthy dirty dishes on the tables overflowing ashtrays, giving the benefit of the doubt it will get cleaned up soon, oh no not till around noon did anyone even come out there. I have NEVER seen this before ever. this continued the entire cruise, we as guest took turns cleaning up the tables and placing the dirty dishes on the far away tables. We sat with a few first time cruisers who said they were disgusted. We never heard from our cruise director I can't even tell you his name although his boyfriend had all of his attention, Kissing at the bar on the lido deck, holding hands and feeling each other disgusting, let me state I have no problem with gay men or women, but this was extremely unprofessional and a turnoff. We never heard music on the lido deck more than a couple times only the guitar player who was good but it wasn't enough, the shows sucked , bring back the dancers.... I didn't enjoy any of the shows and we always go even if we seen them before in fact you could go at the last minute and get a front row seat, I never experienced that before. Our wait staff at dinner was great if it wasn't for them and our cabin steward it would have been a complete washout.

On to the casino, my husband and I love to gamble but I'm telling you this was the worst casino I have ever been in, it was so bad we think the dice were weighted and the roulette table was rigged, The slots were so terrible that everyone not only us was feeling cheated. Believe me I don't think I can make a paycheck from a casino but would at least like the odds to be a little in favor of the players and allow you to play a little. I put 200.00 in one machine and never hit not even for a $1.00 thats just not typical. At breakfast on the lido deck nothing available had to ask for someone to get chocolate milk like every morning , no coffee cups most of the time, one morning for breakfast we get a plate and the entire stack were dirty looked like there were never washed, and on sea brunch days we were seated quickly and waited almost a 1/2 hour to get our juice and first part of breakfast. the poor workers that do work so hard are so overworked you can really see the decline in service due to a cut in employees.

It appears to us that Carnival is more interested in making money then making the customers happy with all the pay restaurants they are adding. It truly is sad that they no longer have the jazz bands that play around the ship and on formal nights we always enjoyed dancing to the music or just sitting listening to them. Oh and the picture staff is annoying 5 different picture while you eating try to smile with a mouth full of food why do they do that. and when you get off the ship they want you to take 10 pics with all the people dressed up and they don't want to take no for an answer. The restrooms were clean for the most part but the door handles were all broke it seemed every time i was in a stall someone opened the door.l
