This was our 6th cruise and our fourth with royal Caribbean, it was also our first transatlantic and our first visit to the Caribbean.we had travelled on the adventure last year on a canaries cruise so it felt comfortable straight away, we found the ship as last year clean in good repair and welcoming.this was also the first balcony cabin we had booked on a royal Caribbean ship having previously had promenade cabins on our 3 other cruises, the cabin(6622) was on the hump and offered great views both forward and aft and was great for the two of us and provided a nice oasis on days at sea when we needed a little us time.

Facilities on the ship offer a lot or a little depending on your requirements, the cabin was spacious and storage plentiful and the addition of a flat screen TV made moving around the bed to access the balcony easy, the bars and entertainment venues around the ship were varied and could cater for what u wanted ie, quiet reads, games of cards in the blue moon, a pre or post show drink in the champagne bar,a late night drink with music in the nightclub(jesters) and other variations in other locations, the pub the schooner bar the sports bar all offered various types of music during the evening and all day the bars on deck offered a great service.

On deck there was also a choice about what u wanted your experience to be eg quiet and relaxed(solarium) or more interactive and musical( main pool deck), the deck was well used during the cruise, deck parties, belly flop contests water aerobics and films on the outdoor screen.entertainment at night was very varied the main theatre shows both crew production and guest artists were very good and you could always go elsewhere if u didn't fancy the show that night( we went 12 nights out of 14),the pyramid lounge offered live bands, quizzes and other activities and other venues offered bands solo artists and instrumentalists so you could always find something you liked.
