My husband and I just returned from our cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway November 9-16, 2014. This was our 20th cruise and 6th cruise with Norwegian. We were very disappointed with the food, the buffet was lacking different choices, same things everyday. I've been on cruises with at least 2 carving stations, even desserts weren't that great! The dining rooms were not any better, very little vegetables offered with dinners, had fried flounder first night, only because I didn't really like anything else on menu and it didn't taste like flounder at all! My husband usually eats a fish every night, this ship did not have many choices of fish, the one night he had swordfish served over a salad (something we never had on any cruise ship for a dinner entrée) and he could not eat it, it was raw! They served a lot of he fish raw! We even ate in the Italian restaurant on our anniversary and we did not like that dinner too, my shrimp was had no taste, neither did the rice and my eggplant was so dried out. We cruised on the Norwegian Pearl in 2012 (Alaska cruise) and the food was great. I would not recommend the Breakaway to anyone, so disappointed in the food.

But we both loved the entertainment, best ever in all of our 20 cruises! Burn The Floor, Rock of Ages and Cirque Dreams dinner show (only dinner that we thought was tasty), all three shows were amazing, and the cruise director and his staff were wonderful.

Norwegian Breakaway needs to upgrade the food. Also my daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren 18 and 12 were disappointed in the food choices too. This was my grandchildren's first cruise and they were not impressed at all.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Cabin was very nice and kept clean, balconies are smaller than the ones we had on other cruises.
