Generally speaking this was a very nice relaxing cruise. Could it have been better - of course, but again, looking at the big picture this was a pleasant cruise. For being an older ship, it seemed clean and well maintained / updated. The dinning options were sufficient and just about on par with other Royal Caribbean ships. I was a little underwhelmed by the entertainment options; I guess they are putting there focus on the newer ships in this arena. My biggest complaint though seemed to be a staffing issue. On previous cruises I was use to seeing staff out and about, taking drink orders or cleaning up empty glasses. The servers in lounges were non existent and I found myself often standing at the bar in line waiting to order drinks. This was the Visions first seven night voyage out of Tampa this season, so hopefully the staffing issues are only temporary while they adjust to working out of a new port. Again, I really did enjoy the ship. The layout had a nice flow and what easy and quick to work your way around the ship. If RCL can "tune up" the onboard service standards this cruise ship could definitely be a five (instead of the three I gave it).
Also, even though we where underwhelmed by the service onboard we did book another cruise on Adventure of the Seas for next April. We are still hoping for the best with RCL and that they can address the issues that we had.
Very spacious and well appointed. TV stations were a joke (although I guess you do not go on a cruise). The room and bathroom were well cleaned, but the balcony looked as if it was never cleaned since we boarded (maybe). Water and salt had built up on the sliding door as well as the outside balcony glass making it hard to look out. Windex or a squeegee could have fixed that in two minutes (although in RCL defense we never told anyone about this, so they did not have the opportunity to fix it).
