We have previously been on twelve cruises, on three cruise lines. On this 15 day cruise through the Panama Canal we felt there was a significant decline in the quality of food and the service in the main dining room, compared to what we are accustom.
Specific issues:
1) Our head waiter tried hard but appeared to be overworked. There was very little service by an assistant waiter. Our serving station was located clear across the dining room, with others much closer. We had the early (6:00 pm) seating....one night we did not get our entrée served until 7:45 pm. Often many of the tables around us were finished eating before we even ordered desert.
Stateroom and attendant were good, except the sliding door to the veranda was very hard to open. No candies at night on our pillows....except 1 night, in 15, there were a couple cookies. There were towel animals on our bed about 4 nights.
