Any time there is a problem with anything, it's because of lousy management. So with anything as great as the way things ran on this ship, it has to be great management. I cannot say enough about the employees on this ship. We were on the November 16 cruise. Embarkation was the easiest I have ever seen. We parked our car at 11 a.m. and were sitting down to eat at 12:30. We went to our room at 2:15 and our luggage was there.
Cabin: We were on deck 6 (Upper), Oceanview, Cabin U157. Great location. Very quiet. We didn't think we had neighbors until we saw plates outside their door toward the end of the cruise. Bed was wonderful. Cabin perfectly cleaned. Animals every night. Plenty of closet space. Bathroom was very small and my least favorite thing about the cruise although the floor did not flood when we showered which has happened on occasion on past cruises on different ships.
Food: We had Your Time Dining which we love. Fanatasy Dining room. We waited for a table onlyone time for under 5 minutes. We always requested shared table and had wonderfully entertaining table mates. I have read that NCL is no longer serving lobster tail, but Carnival is and it was delicious. Every dish we had was served at proper temperature and was delicous. The flat steak was perfectly cooked and flavorful. No need to pay an upcharge. We had a different wait staff every night because we ate in different areas and they were all superb. How did they remember our names as they sat each dish down? There were 8 of us at the table. I have no idea but they did it every night. The nightly waiter performance was always so much fun. The buffet was also very good. A vegetarian would have no trouble finding plenty of good food to eat. Don't miss the seafood fritters. Wonderful! Oh, the strawberry frozen yogurt was so good. Pizza was good too. Nice to have at midnight.
Quiet. Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Plenty of closet space. Small bathroom. Nice flat screen tv which was a surprise.
