We are a couple in our early fifties with over 20 cruises over the last 20 years. This is our third Celebrity and second on Reflection this year. Because we have been fortunate to have been able to travel to most of the Caribbean islands, we tend to stay on the ship for the entire cruise. I also have an auto immune disease that causes mobility issues, so we require an accessible stateroom.
We booked this cruise in February while on board the reflection, and was awarded the free drinks package and a 250.00 OBC. The OBC did not show up on our account, and I had to deal with guest relations twice to get adjusted. Bring your paper work that shows what you have been promised, it makes dealing with the cruise line easier.
We opted to fly to Miami the night before, and booked a room at the Marriott Biscayne bay. The cost of the room was under 200.00 and included breakfast. You can see the ships from the outside terrace where breakfast is offered. It was only a 5 minute cab ride to the port. We checked out and headed to the ship at 1020am. We were through security and had our sea pass card by 1045. what they did was process the early folks, and have them sit until the ship was ready. At 1100, we were called to board the ship.
