My wife and I, along with another couple, did the 14 day Grand European cruise. This was our first Viking River cruise and it will certainly NOT be our last. We had a fantastic time.

Our ship, and the crew, were excellent. Sonja was our cruise director and she was very well organized and helpful. Our cabin was spotless and Vinnie, the manager of the cabin team, knew everyone by name. The service throughout the ship was fantastic. Our dinners, lunches and breakfasts were delicious. The wait staff was wonderful and they were entertaining as well. They really seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Our shore excursions were wonderful. We are very active in our early 60's and we appreciated the fact that Viking set up the shore excursions to accommodate the passengers "activity" level. We chose the extended tours which involved more walking and a more in-depth tour by the local guide. We had enough time in each port to get a great overview of the town and then had free time to explore on our own.

We were very happy with this cabin. It is on the lower deck and had a small port window. This was fine considering we spent most of our time on the deck or outside.
