Cabin: Balcony

Did this cruise only because we are Trace Atkins fans. Had been a while since on a Carnival ship back when they said cabins were 185 sq.ft. We were unimpressed with the smaller cabin and the balcony was so small one person could not pass another person. I thought they had forgotten to put body lotion in the cabin, but our steward advised we had to go to shops and buy our own. There is no hair dryer, you must call purser and borrow a hair dryer. There is no fridge and no couch or love seat in balcony cabin. Perhaps because it was a short cruise, there was no perk for platinum members other than a special boarding line which then merged into the general boarding line

Past guests got a coupon for 1 free drink that could only be used for lunch or breakfast in the main dining rooms. Guess this was to be sure not everyone would bother using the coupon.

Employees were quick to say hello and good morning, evening, whatever. Can't complain about the service, but the feeling we were sailing on the cheap was evident. The cruise wasn't as cheap as that cruise would have been without the concert. Standard tickets to the concert were $20 seats first come first seated, except the first 4 or 5 rows were reserved for those of us paying $100 for a meet and greet ticket which also got you a photo w/Trace, but if you blinked, too bad cause the time for each of us was in seconds not minutes. We had waited outside the meeting room a good 2 hours before it opened, so we had the pics and were on our way to the auditorium in no time and had front row seats.
