Our group of 9 embarked on the cruise in honor of the parents 60th anniversary. The check in line at the port was ridiculously long and unnecessary. What good does this do after we already did on line check in???????? They need to include the sea pass card with the boarding set sail pass and be done with it.

In spite of this delay we boarded without further incident and our cabins were ready and waiting. We were all on the 7th floor aft with lovely balconies. Plenty of room for two people. The shower is narrow but has good water pressure. Both the room and the bathroom were kept spotless by our room steward, Lamich. He was also very helpful regarding the port for each day.

Dinner was at 6 pm each night in the Tides on deck 4. Our head waiter was Imelda from the Philippines. Her assistant was Arles and he was a hoot. We loved having them take care of us at dinner each night. The food was delicious and they catered to my MIL who needs gluten free meals. I had purchased the Royal refreshment soda package and after the first night I didn't need to bring along the "special "cup to get my diet coke. Others in the group ordered bottles of wine which were kept and brought out as needed throughout the cruise. We really were very satisfied with the main dining room experience and did not feel the need to go to Portofinos or Chops.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

There is plenty of storage and space for two people in this cabin. Ours did not have a flat screen tv while others in our party had them. The bathroom is adequate. I am only 5 ft 2 and found the raised toilet seat uncomfortably high. Also it is hard to shave your legs in the narrow shower stall. Or pick up your shampoo bottle if it falls for that matter. The hair dryer is a standard issue and worked fine. The balcony is a good size and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening.
