Carnival Glory - January 13-20 Western Caribbean Cruise Review & Comments
First, let me say this review is based on my personal observations only. Your own experiences may vary. Where applicable, experiences have been rated on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best).
Background: I am an experienced cruiser with 14 cruises to date. Up until recently my main loyalty was with RCCL (I am a Platinum member). I am also a frequent cruiser on Princess and NCL. This is my second cruise on the Glory within a year. I first sailed on her back in early June of 2006 (you can read my original review on Cruise Critic). Although this was the same exact itinerary as the last cruise, the second experience was different from the first for several reasons. To get a better perspective of the differences outlined in this review, I would suggest first reading my original review. I know many of you may be wondering why I would sail on the same ship/itinerary within eight months of one another. In short, even though my initial review mentioned several things that I felt could be improved, the overall cruise/experience was good and I said I would have no problem booking another Carnival cruise. So, once again, the convenience of Port Canaveral combined with the attractive itinerary made the Glory an obvious choice for another much needed vacation! In addition, since joining the Carnival Vacation Club (CVC) on the Glory back in June of '06, this was an opportunity to experience the various member benefits.
