We were first time RCI cruisers. First I'd like to say is we enjoyed this cruise in spite of the ship. We loved the ports and beauty of the Maritimes. We loved the new friends we met on ship and through the Cruise Critic Roll Call. What we didn't like was the very average food that was very limited in getting. In some cases you had to pay extra for the same food you could order for free off room service just because it was near the atrium. We took one excursion from the ship and saw three museums. Two were closed but we did have a photo op at them. I'm glad we did not take another excursion from the ship. While the evening entertainment was good the rest of ship's activities were lacking. Trivia should not be a prime focus of sea day activity. The cruise director and staff were fun and interacted well the guests. We did think the $25 a day ($12.50 x 2) was a bit high considering there was no turn down service, no wifi, and not much to do.While Crown club members enjoyed perks we were accustomed to enjoying on other lines we were now asked to pay for about everything. It seemed we were getting nickeled and dimed every where we turned, and we didn't like it. Frequently we found the domestic services boarding the same elevators with dirty laundry or such with guests, and the list goes on and on. So if you are from French Canada and have only a select few cruises that speak French, then by all means this is the cruise for you. Otherwise I would think again about this ship for any cruise.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin I

Smaller than other cruise lines with a hard bed. There was drinks to buy in the room but no fridge. The location was good but we had a loud nightly noise from underneath. The bed was underneath the window so you had to jump on the bed to look out.
