That was our 3rd cruise with MSC. We experienced Fantasia and Opera prior to this one and I must say this one was the worst one of them all. Where do I begin. Entertainment was 0 to nothing, shows were awful, daytime there was nothing to do, we had one 12 year old that was bored out of his mind. Ricardo that was supposed to be the person to lead the Young club was never there during the day and most of the time never there in the evening. If my husband and I wanted to go to casino we would have to take turns because our son could not come with us. In lounges he was bored because there was nothing but singing going on and that was not something that 12 years old kid would like to do. When Ricardo was actually there for a few hours that we would leave our son there, he would make him watch the movie or play the video game. What is the purpose of that person to be on the ship? Juniors club on the other hand was a joy for our 10 year old daughter and when we asked if our son could join them we were told no. So what preteens and teens are supposed to do on the ship?
Most of the crew were catering to Italians, French and Spanish people on board. We did not know our dinner waiter's name until the 5th night when we tried to talk to him which ended up only a few minutes and he was back to the table next to us with French couple having conversation. In a few quiz times that they had during the day, when we were giving the answers unfortunately French, Italians or Spanish people were picked as a winners.
Food was exactly the same as on two other cruises. If you plan on taking more than one cruise with MSC be prepared to eat the same food.
