I had an awesome time on the cruise. I only had a few minor issues. One night room service never showed up, but when I reported it to guest services - they more than made up for it with juice (they offered wine), fancy chocolates, nut-free chocolate muffins, and free bottled water. The second was a canceled shore excursion (got refunded), and the third was a really rude lady (some people are just jerks). For it being a smaller ship, there was always something to do. I don't think I was bored (or hungry) the entire time. They know how to feed a person. I tried so many new things - Gnocchi, macerated cherries, stuff I've never heard of, and some favorites made in new ways. I won the cake decorating contest, lost money in the casino, swam with turtles, met tons of people, dressed fancy, took tons of photos, danced, and had a blast.

The live shows that I saw in the theatre were awesome. The people they get for the shows are really good. The comedians were funny. My favorite show was the salute to Broadway. I didn't go to every show.

The food. Oh my goodness - the food. If you are ever hungry on a cruise - it is your own fault. We ate a few times in the buffet and the Park Cafe, but mostly in the Main Dining Room. The best thing about breakfast at the buffet was the mountain of bacon. Sometimes we ate in the main dining room first (we had a 530 early dinner), then the park cafe around 10 or 11, or room service. The food sometimes wasn't what I like, but there are so many other alternatives. Our Assistant Waitress kept me hooked up with the cheese rolls and my grandmother with shrimp.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Our cabin was better than I expected for an older ship. We had a balcony on the 7th deck towards the aft. It was pretty quiet. We heard the engines a little, but not loud at all. It was clean, though small. We had plenty of storage space for all our stuff. There were cupboards and drawers a plenty. Our room attendant was really awesome and very attentive. I loved coming in some nights to the towel animals. I ended up giving him some of our door magnets with his tip at the end.
