Especially in the dining room they seemed understaffed. Took a long time for the drink server to come at the beginning of our meal, and then to find him again when needed was very frustrating. Luckily the maitre d' was excellent and helped us out with this, sometimes bringing the drinks himself. The night we ordered escargot it came to the table almost cold and again the maitre d', Gonzalo, made sure we got new, fresh, hot orders. But I have never had any dish come out like that before on any cruise line. Another indication of declining quality. I must add that most of the meals were excellent!

The ship is beautiful and very clean with outstanding cabin service, except now you have to ask for ice to be brought daily. Not a big deal because once requested, it was always there. A big disappointment was with security. We had a small item stolen from outside our cabin and was told the hallway cameras are not clear enough to identify the thief, so they didn't even bother looking. This made us feel pretty uncomfortable in general and annoyed with their dismissive attitude in particular.

I also noticed the platinum member perks were almost all useless for us. No more wine tastings or complimentary admission to Johnny Rockets to name just two. Very long lines both boarding and leaving. Even so I will most likely cruise with Royal Caribbean again, but will now re-consider other lines I have tried in the past.
