Overall we loved the Royal Princess. I actually love the new set up. The lack of promenade deck is made up for by the really nice sports deck and walking/running track. The lack of center stairwell was probably the most disappointing, but only in that the elevators were often more crowded than normal...it didn't seem to matter which bank of elevators we used, at peak times they were crowded. However, this was not a deal breaker for me and I would not hesitate to sail the Royal Princess again.

We had very good service everywhere we went and the crew were pleasant, even when under fire from a handful of disgruntled people.

There are a few kinks that I think will be ironed out as she ages...there were some issues with ezCheck, but in the end it worked perfectly for us.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M6

This is a forward corner Premium Minisuite on the lido deck. I LOVED this cabin, the wrap around balcony and the location on the ship. The cabin is set up like a suite in an L configuration, with a separate sleeping area, a separate sitting area and a nice entrance where the closets and bathroom is located. There is a very large desk/counter area as well. It had a lot of storage, but it didn't seem to be quite as efficient as I remember on other Princess ships. I think for a couple it would probably be more efficient as opposed to two friends traveling together.Side note on this cabin: the curtains needed to be closed at night so as not to interfere with the bridge. We sailed from New York to the Caribbean and returned to Ft. Lauderdale, 10 nights. The weather was mostly sunny, but was very windy most of the trip. We were able to use the balcony at all times, though there was one day when it was just a bit too windy for me out there. We noticed no vibrations or noise even with the sanctuary directly above us.
