Let me preface this review with two factors. First, this was a full-ship charter cruise, so I cannot comment on the normal entertainment because our charter group provided all the entertainment for our cruise. Second, I am a seasoned cruiser with over 30 cruises, but I do not cruise the luxury lines like Regent and Crystal. (Have cruised Disney, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, Norwegian and Carnival)

Embarkation was routine for us. We arrived at the port around 11:30 although we had been told they would not board the ship until 1:00 pm. It took about 45 minutes to get checked in and then we had to sit on the floor and wait until our group number (#11) was called to board. There were lots of chairs in the waiting area, but they were all full by the time we were checked in. We were on the ship by 1:30. We were told cabins would not be ready until 3:00 pm, but we headed to the cabin anyway. It was ready, all except for the pile of dirty bed linens on the floor. We deposited our carry-aboard in the closet and headed to the buffet. When we got back to the cabin a bit before 3:00, the dirty linens were gone and all was in order.

Our room steward was a sweetheart. No complaints there at all.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

Well-designed stateroom. Plenty of storage space. Bathroom is small, but adequate. Loved the "glass" shower door rather than a shower curtain. Note: only body wash and shampoo. There is no bar soap, no conditioner and no body lotion provided on this ship. Mattress was very comfortable, but the pillows were thin and lumpy.
