We've been with RCCL since 1987 and we've been on many cruises with them. We are emerald members with their Crown & Anchor Society, however, you'd never know it. For our loyalty at this level, there were really no perks. As members we are to be invited to different private parties, but we never got invited to anything. There are suppose to be other perks such as discounts and coupon offers...We didn't find the perks, and only a few coupons; only one of which we used for $5 off laundry. So, I have to wonder, if this is how RCCL is now rewarding "LOYALTY" then there really is no need or reason for us to stick with RCCL. Maybe it's time to explore other cruise lines now.

On this particular cruise, there was all kinds of time mix ups and pricing errors in the compass. (And I do mean lots of errors) When either I or others complained about this problem, nothing was done. Management even got nasty. For me it wasn't that much of a problem because I simple withheld my money and bought nothing. RCCL lost lots of revenue from our group.

Dinner was less then stellar. Our waiter almost never gave the right the person their food. Many times we got food we didn't order. Most nights we were the last table to leave be service was that slow. You would never believe how horrible the Lobster was on Lobster night. The steaks were pretty good though, but not at the specialty restaurants where a steak can cost upwards of $50. (Thirty dollars p.p. just to eat there, plus an added charge of upwards of $20 for some steaks.) And by the way, at these specialty restaurants the steaks are all "pan-fried" not GRILLED. If I'm pay'n $50 for a steak, the last thing I want is a pan-fried steak, right?

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Our room was spacious for a ship cabin and the balcony was larger then most. However, room curtains were very worn. Holes poked through the room-darkener drapes. The Balcony window/door was extremely dirty and hadn't been washed in some time. Our cabin steward was "okay" but never attentive and only twice on the 14 day cruise did we get "towel animals." Room was never vacuumed during our stay. And toiletries were never replenished, nor was the coffee and tea.
