We sailed out of Boston to Bermuda the week of the two hurricanes. This cruise was probably more excitement than we expected.

First, we've sailed the Dawn before and we love the ship. The staff is friendly. The entertainment is fine and the food is good. What we hadn't done was sail out of Boston. The staff at the port at Boston? I have been treated better by prison guards when I go to visit clients in jail. The staff that work the port are rude, loud and mean. They screeched at us for sitting in the wrong section, when none of the sections are marked as anything. They yell if you don't move fast enough for them. These are some mean women. And the parking situation isn't optimum. In New York, the parking deck is right next to the pier. In Boston, the parking deck is a half a mile away from the pier, with no porters. You have to drag your luggage to the sail, across a street and down an alley. Didn't exactly set the mood. The harpies didn't make that any better.

Once on board, things improved. Our room was ready fairly quickly and our luggage arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our room steward was very friendly and even though there were no kids in our mini-suite, she made the towel animals for me. We were in room 11162 and I have no complaints about the room. There was the occasional chair being dragged across the floor above us, but nothing really disturbing.

Very little noise with the occasional chair being dragged overhead.
