There are mixed reviews on CC about this cruise, but our experience was nothing but good. We arrived at the pier at about 12:30pm, and we were on the ship by about 2pm. The employees at the port were all friendly and cheerful...we saw some grumpy passengers though! Our personal experience has been that if we are cheerful and friendly, then the employees are cheerful and friendly right back!

Our room steward was Karl and he was excellent! He remembered our names from Day ONE, and our room was always tidy and clean when we returned from port each day. We left him notes for special requests (took post-it notes for this) and our requests were always met. Karl was accessible, and we saw him at least two or three times per day in the hallway. He was cheerful and always asked about our day when we returned, and asked about our plans when we saw him in the morning.

Service in all of the dining areas was fine. Some of the servers were better than others, but we felt like we rec'd good service all around. The food was average, but this cruise is not about the food, it's about the DESTINATION! If you want something other than a destination cruise, then this one might not be for you.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BD

Cabin was small, but we were off the ship all day, every day. We had a cabin that adjoined with the one next door, and we could occasionally hear the people talking next door (not actual words, just the sound of voices) but that was fine. We were so tired every night that we didn't stay awake long. The balcony was wonderful with two chairs and a small table. The shower is quite small with a curtain. We are average size people, but it would be quite small for a larger person. There is a small, flat screen TV in the room (which we never used) as well as a small refrigerator and a safe for valuables. There was a loveseat, a small coffee table, a small desk and chair and a nice sized closet with drawers. There is also a mirror at the desk, as well as a large mirror over the bed. There is more storage at the desk as well as two end tables next to the bed. The bathroom has a medicine cabinet behind one of the side mirrors and a shelf under the sink. Not much counter space, so bring a hanging cosmetic bag.
