This was my husbands and my second cruise with Radiance. Once again it did not disappoint. From the moment we set foot on the ship in Sydney it felt like we had come home. We were very fortunate to board and be in Windjammers by 11.15 due to being in a Suite this time. I believe there was a big hold up after we got on with the processing of Entry/Departure forms for Bali so happy we got on before that.

The service from beginning to end was second to none. We had not experienced the VIP treatment of being in a Suite before and I dont think we can go back to an ordinary room after this. Nothing was too much trouble for our Suite Attendant and JJ in Concierge who attended to everything. The service in Concierge is well worth any extra you would have to pay for a suite. We noticed the quality of the food in the dining room had slipped since our last cruise. Chops and Giovannis was great though. Room service menu was great as we could order from the dining room menu when open, although the regular menu was terrible and not much variety. Entertainment from the headliner shows was excellent and of a very high standard but the production shows hadn't changed and were a little boring as had seen them 2 years before. The ship is a little tired looking and starting to show its age and I believe is due for a refit in 2016.

All in all a memorable cruise for all the right reasons with great weather, calm seas (except the last night), and great friendships made.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

Our Suite was excellent. Very large with lots of cupboards, mini bar and coffee maker. Bathroom was also very large for a cruise ship and 2 people could comfortably be in there at the one time. There was heaps of hanging space and coathangers in the cupboard. The Suite has a double length balcony which was great for lying out there and reading a book or just relaxing. There was not much sun on the balcony due to the overhang but due to the very hot days, was rather a blessing most of the time. Everything worked fine and never had to call for assistance with anything. We got an endless supply of fresh water and ice plus every couple of days got a nice surprise with fresh fruit, cheese platter etc. which was very welcome. My only criticism of the positioning of this cabin was due to being next to the bump mid ship, you did not have privacy from the balcony on the bump. Wasn't a problem though as we had a lovely family next door.Even with the lack of privacy would choose this suite again or one similar.
