DH, DS7, DD6, MIL, and I sailed on the NCL Pearl 4 day Bahamas cruise. This was a partial charter with the Grammys at Sea – Women Who Rock group. We booked a 2 BR suite and were in cabin 11006. I will try to cover the main points the best I can. We drove to the port from NC (yes we are crazy but took three days) and parked at the port.

Embarkation – We arrived at the terminal about 11:30 am. There was a priority boarding room but the sign said Haven guests. I asked the person outside the door and he said it was only for Haven, not suite guests. So, we waited in the main line. The person checked us in and then got a little confused. She said she would have to go get our room keys. When she returned, she apologized and said we should have gone to the priority check in and escorted us there. There were snacks – cookies, cakes, orange juice, water, and coffee for us. We waited there until someone came to escort us to the next staging area. Evidently, the ship had not been cleared yet and we had to wait until about 12:30 to get on the ship. We were taken to Cagney’s (or Moderno, depending on who you ask) and seated at a table (not a dining table). Several others who arrived after us were seated at dining tables before us. The concierge, Monica, introduced herself but that was the only time we saw or heard from her the entire week. We ate lunch and they announced that the cabins were ready so after we finished eating we went there.

Cabin – We were pleased with our cabin. Since there were five of us, DH and I took the large bedroom, MIL took the small bedroom and the kids took turns sleeping in the bunk and on the sofa bed. We LOVED the large bathroom and the kids loved the bath and shower. The space was so nice – we all had room to spread out and get away from each other when we wanted. As a note, both the large bedroom and the living room had DVD players. The location was good, since it was so far forward we had very little traffic and only heard people above us in the morning and afternoon when the spa was open. Although it was a hike to dining, it was fine since we needed the exercise. The beds were comfortable.
