This cruise consisted of three short back to back cruises, five, four, and five nights each, totaling fourteen nights. The ports of call included Key West, Roatan, Grand Cayman and Cozumel (two times). Royal Caribbean does an excellent job of accommodating continuing cruisers. We met at the R Bar and were escorted to the customs officer with our passports and just walked back on the ship. A lunch for us was arranged in the dining room and our cabins were ready at 10:15. If you had to change cabins, they moved your luggage to the new room and you could leave your clothes on their hangers. You still had to pack your suitcase up, however.
This is a very nice ship and in very good condition. My mattress was firm, not sagging as some have commented. It could have used a gel top mattress pad, however. Cabin service was excellent and the cruise director and staff were some of the best I have experienced on Royal Caribbean. We are Diamond Crown and Anchor Society members so we have been on a lot of RCI cruises. Some of the cruise staff can be pretty full of themselves, but that was definitely not the case on the Vision.
The Windjammer food was very good. Some have said that it is often the same each day, but I thought that there was always a choice of good options. A better selection of deserts would be nice and shrimp cocktail at dinner would be a nice touch, at least once and a while. There did not seem to be lobster in the dining room on these short cruises, which surprised me. Why? The Park Café was a nice option, but the hours were more limited than they could be. If you like pizza this is not your ship. No 24 hour pizza and in fact none at lunch and usually not until evening! Why?
