my wife and i have cruised about six times. this was our first on conquest, but third time of same class ship.

Entertainment: comics GREAT. shows: good. disco.....When will any Cruise Director or Capt. have the stones to walk into the disco and fix it. mental note when the place is packed everywhere, but the dance floor do not ASSUME the DJ is doing his job properly. WAKE UP..We' re not in the disco because our ears are in need of very loud noise...Our wives want to dance and that takes music....a good tell tell sign is a crowded dance floor...requests to the dj to change his music, to move on to other material, requests for certain songs....all ignored. Every night a crowded room and an empty floor for minutes on end...it was crazy. lots of people just standing looking at the lights on the dance floor while this idiot dance in his little booth, bouncing the head phones....nuts. Food: hamburgers GREAT. Mexican...soso. Lido buffets: Its a buffet. pretty good most of the time. desserts leave alot to be desired...look really good, but the taste of none of them leaves you wanting to get up and get seconds. Nothing special. Dining room: really good. dress policy.....what dress policy? there is no dress policy. formal nights.....bah humbug, people wore what they felt the could wear and did. nobody enforced any kind of dress code. ridiculous to even waste the print.

menus need to be updated....prime rib twice. lobster tails once. steak zero. frog leg recipe from who knows where. Oh the 20.00 upgrade meat you can buy..steak, lobster, etc....A usa chain restaurant has better taste..we did the sirloin twice and both times tasted no different and no better, i could not believe it...drown it in au jue..that was really a dissappointment... again...desserts were not over the moon. Drinks; avg about 12.00, beer 6.00 Long Island Ice tea is not made with juice. except here.....No matter what the bar tender says..it does not taste the same. request it be made as the recipe is intended with coke and your drink goes up another 3.00. i did not appreciate the liberties taken with changing the drink recipes to fit the boat. Movies on deck...great time, with hot pop corn, too. sports bar good, limited bar food...really no bar food. some cheese sticks, wings or nachos here would be great. more tv's i the common walk areas outside would be nice as well...limited seating during games. room cabins tv....sucks. not really though, nah just kidding..it sucks. no sports, no weather, limited cnn, no espn, one children station....leave alot to be desired. i could not imagine being sick and having to spend more than a couple hours in a room with that tv. Cruise director Mike....funny. will make you laugh at anything. totally the best person we dealt with on the boat. always approachable and willing to do anything..a plus. open mike nite for cruisers to attempt to be comedians.....massive fail. became a complaint session and turned vulgar at one point when the "white" host Rolly tried to tell the "black" cruiser/comic/complainer his time had come to an end.....security should have been in the room or the comedy mgr been hosting this (who is black)....the comments hushed the entire room. this should not be repeated without a plan, because there was no plan. Kids: Glad we did not bring ours, because i think the total number of teens on board would only take two hands to count..I bet they were bored silly. Ports: Cozumel good times, get your tequila here. Belize' depressing poor city area. Rhoatan: tourist trap. Cayman: good times, safe, lots to do and everyone is great. we bought excursions from both from Carnival and internet sites....zero issues. lots of fun to be had. Nice trip away from work, but no wow factor. Getting on and off the boat...easy as pie. rental car companies in miami offer free shuttles to port from most all of their offices..just gotta ask them.
