My wife and I have never been on a cruise before, so we jumped at the chance to go when invited by my brother and his wife. We have other cruises that we would like to do, and going with them on a short cruise looked like a good way to get our feet wet - literally!

I have to say that this was not really our type of a trip, as this cruise is more centered on partying and drinking. We are more interested in seeing exotic destinations. Catalina was fun, but unless you have the time to really explore the island, once was probably enough for us. Ensenada was interesting, but mainly due to the excursion, not the town itself.

We had a great time, and it was certainly a fantastic value. We paid $428 for ocean view room (cruise, taxes, and fees) for four day cruise. That's about what I would expect to pay for 4 days at a nice hotel! Also, add in $48 per person for gratuities; that is a charge that you can remove prior to the last day of the cruise.

Cozy, clean, lots of storage. We had no complaints. Good AC controls for temperature.
