Definitely not a "luxury" cruise. Room 227 was extremely noisy and nothing was done to alleviate the problem. Food was average for a ruby Tuesday's type of chain restaurant. The BBQ oysters resembled hockey pucks, the oyster Rockefeller was present without "oyster". In general seafood was best eaten on shore not on board. Tours were poorly thought out and insufficient time was allocated for museum touring. On one tour the first bus left on time, the second 40 minutes late and the third 50 minutes late yet they all ended at the original stated end time. WX related issues were not compensated for. No adequate onboard activities were offered to compensate for the three missed ports of call. It's hard to play checkers when there's a board but no checkers, or cribbage when there's a board but no cards. Extending open bar hours or asking onboard veterans to sit around and tell "war stories" and drink beer is not an appropriate substitute for ports of call and tours. On a positive note, the Captain was one of the most skilled ship handlers I've ever had the pleasure to sail with. He minimized the weather related rough seas discomfort more than I imagined possible.
Spacious cabin but the additional space was relatively useless due to poor layout.
