We were apprehensive about this cruise as it was our first, but we now wish we had tried this years ago. We found the whole cruise a relaxing and very pleasant way to travel. We found the embarkation very efficient and despite arriving earlier than the given time on our tickets, we went straight through and on to the ship. Our cabin was ready and we found our way to level six and were very pleased with the cabin. We then made our way up to the Ocean View cafe for lunch. Once we had figured out the lay out of the cafe, we were soon seated with a delicious lunch and drinks. We made our way back to the cabin and unpacked, we had cabin 6223, there was enough storage for all our luggage. The bathroom was quite roomy, with a cabinet shower and plenty of shelves for our toiletries.

We had chosen select dining because our travel agent advised that we would be more likely to get a table for two, which is our preference. The first night and the next two nights in the MDR were given a table for two, but they were very close to the next table for two, so we felt a little inhibited. On the third night we asked for a different table and to our delight we were given a four person table for just the two of us. As the restaurant was pretty empty we did not feel guilty sitting at this table. We were lucky enough to get this table for the rest of the holiday. The food was very good, and we enjoyed every meal, so much that we did not go to any of the speciality restaurants. We had the classic drink package which was excellent and we met some nice people in the bars after dinner.

We only went to a couple of shows, these were very good and there were a good couple of comedians that were very entertaining.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

cabin was very quiet and comfortable, with a large comfy bed and a sofa and tv. The bathroom was roomy with plenty of storage for our toiletries. I particularly liked the shower cubicle, it had a bar to put your feet on for leg shaving/washing, a very good idea. I did not like the complimentary toiletries, but I suppose that is my personal choice, so used my own. The balcony was quite big enough for the two of us and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out watching the world go by and we even saw some dolphins.
