Our second cruise and with double the passengers of our first it was different but the positives outweighed the negatives. Previously we sailed Holland America (Volendam) from Sydney to Singapore and loved every moment so naturally we were comparing Celebrity Solstice to the "best". Loved this cruise for totally different reasons as it was so much fun and everyone enjoyed themselves and participated in all the fun stuff. From the 50's, 60's and 70's fun nights to the fantastic variety of the evening shows, it was fun, fun, fun. The passengers were a wider age group from very young to older which was great as more people joined in the activities. The Corning Hot Glass show which is only Deck 15 twice a day, was awesome, not to mention the real lawn deck on 15, so relaxing.

The dining room food wasn't a consistent standard but not too bad. Disappointing some people were wearing T-shirts and baseball caps to dinner. Oceanview Cafe was a problem (for us) as not enough tables for the amount of passengers and the design of the food stations scattered all over the place was like a cattle yard with people hurrying around, criss-crossing all over the place. The specialty restaurants looked good, we went to Bistro on 5 for dinner a couple of times, very nice food with pleasant views and ambiance. We didn't try the others as only a short cruise, however would try them next time even although you have to pay.

Overall would go back on Solstice no problem and very impressed with Celebrity as a cruise line.
