The background: DH is 44 and I am 46. This is our 3rd Carnival cruise in one calendar year. He cruised twice with Celebrity in the 1980s and I cruised once on RCCL in 1990.

We booked this cruise, using an on-line airline, last November. We got a NH resident rate (whoever heard of such a thing?) with an upgrade from an inside stateroom to an outside 5A stateroom. We had cabin #M24.

We flew Jet Blue from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday. The flights were much cheaper than Manchester, our usual home departure city. We booked transfer services with Larry's Limo (recommended by other CC members). Stuart, Larry's father, was our driver from the airport to the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. We paid $150 for the round trip in a town car.
