This was the first and last time we will cruise with NCL. Like many others we chose this cruise primarily for the itinerary and having previously cruised with RCI, I mistakenly thought the food and service would be similar. Sadly, for us, this couldn't have been further from the truth.

Whilst the cost of everything from drinks to 'speciality' dining cover charges to ship excursions were on par with RCI, the food and service most certainly were not. In our opinion, the staff in general are clearly unhappy. They were unhelpful, uninterested and made no effort whatsoever to interact with passengers. They appeared happier standing about moaning to each other about their work, than actually doing any.

On arrival at port we couldn't wait to get off the ship and having waited for a long time to have this 'dream' holiday and having paid a lot of money and travelled a very long way in order to do so, we are hugely disappointed with the negative memories we have been left with. Read more
