First off, there was nothing in the end that would put me off going back on Celebrity This was number 5 with Celebrity and we noticed a slip in a few areas. ll staff were very friendly, smiling and cordial. Our room attendant was on the ball and the food overall was good.
Dining: Select: We selected this as we wanted the ability to eat later than 6 but not at 08:30pm. Most meals were good or very good. My wife sent back one meal as is was semi warm to cold. we know the waiters can't send it back even if they suspect it.
If you are select stay on the select floor. We were sat once on the first floor an felt like fill in's. The Sommelier argued with us when we asked for Anton Bauer, did not think it was by the glass( we had premium package) and suggested it was pronounced Antonini Bauer. She then returned with it saying good pronunciation but it was hard to find. ( we had been drinking it the last two cruises and the previous 2-3 sittings). We sat upstairs the rest of the time. On the formal night we waited over 20 minutes to be served and we were drinking wine before the bread and water came. I am not sure the reason but the system in place in the dining room seems to have changed from the first 2 cruises we took and it is being reflected in longer wait times.
This room has the extra large balcony closer to the front of the ship. The balcony faces towards the rear of the ship starboard side just above the life boats so no obstruction. The room is the same size as any other. Smaller than the Solstice class. Good for two but not three. The closet and bathroom doors are across from each other so a little of a pain when getting ready for dinner. Bathroom was fine with long narrow shower and curtain. I have no issues with room and would easily book another as long just 2 people. Flat screen tv .. Mini fridge was not really that cold with no visible temp. adjustment Beds are comfortable. The ship overall seemed to keep the A/C on warm. The rooms A/C was always at max cold. Advantages, close to the Theatre, one floor down to Cafe El Bacio for Morning Cafe.
