This was my 6th cruise (4th with Carnival) and my wife's first. Overall we had a great time. The ship, like many say is a bit dated, but I can easily overlook that, everything was clean and well-kept which is by far more important. I thought the food was really good, for a cruise, and the buffet was alright somethings were better than others. Although there was a lot of drinking on the cruise I didn't find too many drunks, just one at like 11 in the morning which made me laugh a bit.

I thought the shopping area was a bit small but that is also because the ship is older, over 15 years old so by cruise ship standards it's old and doesn't seem to have been recently remodeled. I thought the pool area was a bit small a cramped but we went to the pool at night during late dinner and there wasn't a sole on deck other than the crew cleaning so we had the hot tub to ourselves and made for a nice and quiet night.

There was always something to do onboard for everyone from trivia to an adults only comedy club, which I was absolutely impressed with. The Queen Mary Lounge was comfortable but the second night the comedian performed, Thea Vidale, there was standing room only, that shows how good she was.

Likewise with the ship the cabin was a bit dated but overall very comfortable, small but comfortable. I did notice the lack of power outlets but I didn't need to use my phone so no need to charge anything other than a camera. The bathroom was large and spacious a little old as well but it was clean, the only thing was, was the medicine cabinet door didn't close all the way but that just gives it character. The staff was incredibly friendly and would always say hello as you walked by and had a smile on their face as well. One time when me and the wife were walking back to the cabin, I stopped to open the door and my wife kept on walking by, I wasn't gonna tell her and the steward who saw what was happening played along as well. It's little things like that, that make me want to come back.
