Sail Date: Oct 2014

One of the friendliest crews we've come across but the ship was dark and dreary looking. You really had to look to find something cheerful on this ship. It's been remodeled but, besides bright colors, they also skipped signage at the bars, and signage really would have helped outside the elevators on each floor. Portside and Starboard just didn't help when you were looking for the buffet area.

We love sailing on Halloween and bring our costumes with us.....decorations were just "so-so"....they really don't do much. The costume contest was in one of the dark, dark bars and many other activities took place at the same time. Not much thought was put into this one. Winners were given the standard bottle of champagne....we even got a trophy with the champagne on Carnival last year. It was a "ho-hum" event. RC's Oasis of the Seas and Carnival put this cruise staff to shame for decorating.

We love the wine tasting event but -- here's a tip -- wait until the last day of the cruise. If you sign up for the first tasting at the beginning of the cruise, the cost is $25.00....on the last day it's $9.50. This was a very nice event and we appreciated the small glass to take with us.

Cabin Review

Cabin AA

This cabin was in a great aft location if you like the buffet (we were on the 8th deck and buffet was directly above us on the 15th deck. Elevator was just few doors down from our cabin. The cabin attendant, Nilo, was wonderful and rated an extra gratuity from us. Cabin was always clean and we had plenty of ice at all times...one of the best attendants we've had.
