First cruise with NCL. Chose the cruise based on itinerary, not cruise line. Cabin was mini-suite, Deck 11, mid-ship. Deck chair ripped and took a few days fro steward to replace, also coffee pot didn't work (maybe he replace ours with another reviewer). Accommodations were alright, bed uncomfortable, not enough electric outlets (none by bed for alarm). Freestyle dining was nice, but food not that great. Shore excursions were alright. Prior to sailing I looked for a Taormina "on our own" excursion, but they didn't have one listed online. So I called NCL to see if one would be offered onboard, they said no. So I booked through another agency even though it was exactly what we wanted. A few days prior to the port NCL listed a Taormina on your own excursion. I didn't get any apology from the excursion staff/asst. manager and they wouldn't give me a room credit for the inconvenience. We booked the NCL excursion anyway, because it fit better into our plans. So much for trying to plan ahead.
Very doubtful that I would book another NCL cruise again, even if it had a superior itinerary. Just not worth it. Mediocre ship, staff and food quality.
