I have always wanted to go on a cruise and since my husband does not like the ocean; I enjoyed this adventure with my daughter instead. Thanks to this site, I did a lot of research and found some really great tips. Reading all of the great insights into cruises on this website is something I would highly recommend for any first time cruisers to take advantage of. We had an inside cabin with no window. What I really liked about our cruise was the special way all of the staff treated us. I walked onto the ship wearing a special medical boot that I acquired from my doctor 3 days before the cruise. Although some activities were out of bounds for me because of my ankle. The ship's Activities Director made sure there was plenty of things to do throughout the days and nights during the week for all ages and all interests.

The food was amazing........tooo good actually and I will have to come up with a creative way to drop some of the weight I know that I gained!! We tried to pick out different places to eat each night and even when you chose a sit down option with wait staff; you were served in a very timely manner. This impressed me given how much food they had to make for almost 3,500 people. For the next cruise we will be going on it will be a NCL because I love the ability to eat freestyle. I also found that out of all of the vacations that I have taken in my lifetime; people who cruise are some of the nicest people to vacation with. People were so helpful in guiding you around the boat and also chatted us up and made cruising very enjoyable.

We learned how to do the "Thiller" dance with an instructor named Kristine. They call her Krazy Kristine because she is so much fun and she's one of the crew members that you will always remember. We did not take part in the shore excursions but went to the private island that NCL owns which was very nice. They had a nice lunch set up for us there.
