Carnival Glory is good, but dining really disappoints.

Carnival’s embarkation process is fine-tuned and works very well. It look us surprisingly little time to get onboard. This has been our experience on every Carnival cruise.

Our housekeeping service was first rate on this cruise. On previous cruises housekeeping has varied in its presence and quality (usually good) but on the Glory this time, it was superb.

Carnival has started a new food service program in the Main Dining Rooms called American Table. It is a terrible step in the wrong direction. It used to be that you would be served food throughout your evening dining experience so that you didn’t sit without something to eat for an uncomfortable length of time while at dinner. No longer is that the case. The first 2 evenings, we were served a small appetizer, then had to wait around 30 minutes or longer for any other food to arrive other than the little bread sampler they always start your table off with.

Great room location. Close to elevators. Sometimes hear the elevators chiming and some foot traffic but convenient location.
