As context for this review, we travelled on the Getaway on the October 18th sailing. I participated on the roll call here on the Cruise Critic site and encourage others to do the same as it helps build both knowledge and anticipation before the cruise. We have cruised previously on RC, Princess, and Carnival. This was our first cruise in a few years, and first with Norwegian, after sticking to mostly all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean (Sandals, Iberostar, etc.) over the past few years. We travelled alone as a couple, and both of us are in our early 50’s.

Likes:

Embarkation was as many other reviewers had posted, quick and painless. We arrived early around 10:30, waited in the lounge after getting our cards, and were aboard by 11:30. Our room wasn’t ready yet so we walked around the boat to check out the facilities.

Nicely decorated, lots of storage, really large bathroom with double trough sink.
