We have five past cruises, two with Royal Caribbean (Serenade of the Seas), Island Princess Los Angeles to Hawaii return, Norwegian Dawn 10 day Caribbean return New York and Celebrity Century San Diego to Hawaii return.

We decided to book a Junior suite and bring our 11 year old Grand daughter on her first ever cruise.

We chose Legend of the Seas because of the itinerary which included stops at St Pierre and Miquelon and St John's Newfoundland.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Cabin 8034 is a "Junior Suite" located amid ships next to the entry point from the Centrum elevators. It was a nice sized cabin with lots of space in closets, drawers and on ledges. New bed configurations do not allow suitcases to fit under the bed. We moved the life jackets from the main closet to under the bed and that left lots of room for 3 checked bags with carry on bags stored inside them. Nice double bed with no middle hump to keep one awake at night. The sofa made up into a nice bed that our granddaughter said was quite comfortable to sleep in.The flat screen TV had some satellite channels. But these came and went based on our position relative to satellite signals.Bathroom was a nice size with tub, shower and lots of amenities. The updated shower head was nice. My only complaint was the tiny tulip sink that had a tap that did not reach out far enough to get ones hands under when trying to wash...annoying but not a deal breaker. There were two clean plush robes hanging on the back of the bathroom door. There were two 110 volt electrical outlets in the main cabin and a combination safe.Since most nightly events were held in the Centrum area, there was a small amount of noise coming into the cabin in the evening. Most nights the centrum noise ended between 11 and 11:30 pm.There was also a certain amount of noise caused by the movement of Food carts on deck 9 during the night hours. It did not keep us awake, or bother us. However if you are sensitive to noise then I suggest you book a balcony on deck 7 where there is nothing noisy above you.The large balcony had three chairs and a round table on it and, had the weather been better, would have been perfect for a balcony breakfast.Cabin was cleaned twice or more daily and always when we were out.
