For first time Cruisers and inexperienced Cruisers the most important thing I would advise is find the cruise that best fits your personality. Second be open to new experiences, and don't be afraid to ask questions, that said lets' begin:

Cabin 4D

E211 is Located on Deck 7 Empress Deck the same deck used for embarkation at Carnival's Long Beach Cruise Terminal (Los Angeles, California). This Ocean View Stateroom is located toward the aft end of the ship and is conveniently placed near the Spirit Dining room and close to the "secret" ladders to the Serenity Deck. There is plenty of storage for three people on short holiday. This cabin features two upper pullmans and two twins to form a king. Upon embarkation the AC was on, the cabin was clean, with no foul smells, and had was ready at 13:00. The bathroom is a decent size for an older design, the shower has two dispensers for soap and shampoo, yet the room lacks shelf space (so bring a hanging shoe rack for the closet door to store stuff). The lack of a couch, bath amenities, ice bucket, fridge, and one US and one Euro outlet on the vanity are minor annoyances, so bring a power strip for the outlets, request ice from the stateroom attendant and if you book one of Carnivals great deals such as More the Merrier, or Pack and Go fares than the lack of stuff is acceptable since it's a budget cruise so the cost savings have to come from somewhere, so I gladly accepted less stuff since my the base fare was $120 for four nights instead of $699 for the same trip. Which is an excellent value.
