We booked a 9 night cruise from Beijing to Hong Kong via Busan Shanghai and Nagasaki. Unfortunately due to a typhoon we never went to Shanghai and Nagasaki even though the typhoon was nowhere near Shanghai.

This decision was made before we boarded, once installed in our cabin the room attendant introduced himself and informed us of the change. Most passengers were travelling onto Vietnam and Singapore after HKG, but we and a few others were doing only half the cruise.

Given that we were doing half the cruise and knowing the decision had been made before we arrived at ship I would have preferred we had been given the choice to cancel and a credit be made towards another cruise, as we had no interest in visiting any of the 3 cities we were now to visit in Taiwan. Princess cruises would have had the opportunity to redeem themselves. If I had seen an ad for a cruise to Taiwan I would have just turned the page.

Cabin was a bit on small side and the balcony very small, room attendant was excellent, disappointed with cheap toiletries provided.
