A bride (from Baltimore MD) and a groom (from Brookville, IN) planned this for about a year and it was like a dream come true. The marriage took place in St Thomas and went off without a hitch. We are all facebook fanatics and are now sharing pictures. Not planned was the day of disembark - which had all of us at the airport watching a Bengal/Ravens game--so fun. Good close game and it was always one of those fun things about the courtship, as Angie, the bride was born and raised Baltimore and Ray (Groom)-you guessed it- Bengals. Anyway- this was a perfect plan-to be wed with friends and family on their favorite cruise-Freedom of the Seas. I know why -now--The cruise director Casey, was so engaging and he knows where to put the emphasis. I have been on a few Carnivals and really couldn't complain, but had no comparison until now. I like it that emphasis is on cleanliness. You will notice it when you first arrive and then over time, you will notice the friendliness of the crew. I had Walter for the room and Larry for the dinner and they couldn't have been nicer. Larry was extremely accommodating. I was late most days and he just made me feel so welcome, anyway. And also, Freedom of the Seas, allowed us to have personal fun things like Pub Crawl--(with cards) and scavenger hunts. This was the most fun wedding reception I've ever been to!!! Freedom of the Seas was perfect as it had entertainment for every age group.
I liked the layout and Walter, our room chief, was very nice and always tried to make the time for cleaning at what time was most convenient for us. We had cute little animals made out of towels and we were made to feel special.
