that's what it's called around the port and it's true! many of the people on this ship seam to drink all day long, starting in the morning:) not that this is a problem since i have drinks every few days as well, just a statement,  we cruised on the sunshine and the conquest before and they both have a very different more positive flair. they also have way larger cabins, we where negatively surprised about the small size of these cabins (ocean view in our case) which don't have a sofa but a fold down bed in a most inconvenient location, it was a job to crawl underneath the fold down bed without hitting your head to reach the bathroom. oh well, i guess we could have booked a suite and may not have had that problem, only a dramatically higher bill:)

the ship is 25 years old and it shows. unfortunately we smoke and smoking areas are limited to one side on the pool deck and the casino, i guess i should quit and not complain :) the food is so so OK, with a few really good exceptions ones in a while. but lets not be too critical, it is what it is and overall it was a lot of fun if you overlook a few things and just go with the flow. We totally 'loved' the 80's show and the comedians, 5 stars for them!:) However after checking in to details about Carnival Ships, there are different classes which i didn't know before, so at this point we rather stick with the conquest class ships, have not seen any other classes yet, but will cruise with carnival again. after all the price is good enough to overlook a few things that other cruise lines may offer, while they all have good and bad critics no matter how much you pay.

terribly small and very basic, no space no fridge no sofa no table, just enough to sleep and shower.
