I have sailed with Royal Caribbean twice in the past and both were good experiences. However the food on this particular cruise was just okay. Out of all the meals I really enjoyed only one, the last night's turkey dinner. Also two of the desserts were good, the bread pudding and the key lime pie which was really good. The other thing I enjoyed were the selection of breads each evening. Our waiter Dodie and his assistant Monica were really good with the service but it's hard to make up for the poor food. My sister was at the table next to us and she had a really terrible waitress and their assistant. Also except for the schooner bar, the bartenders were pretty rude. Especially the Jamaican bartenders at the pool deck. Took my husband 3 tries to get a bourbon and 7up. Also the Pit Stop bartender was just rude. I don't know if it's because many people now have the beverage packages that they just don't want to serve you and thus save money. My cabin steward Besar was very good and I never heard any complaints about the housekeeping staff from any of the others I was traveling with (50). This cruise is port heavy with a new port 5 days in a row which is very tiring. I will definitely pick my next cruise with more sea days, or just elect to do not so many shore excursions. I really liked St. Lucia and Barbados.
