We sailed on the last cruise in October 2014 before the Voyager went into dry dock for a refit. A word of warning, never sail on a ship before it is due to undergo refurbishment, wait 'till after. The cruise lacked the "wow" factor that is usually inbuilt into such holidays.
The embarkation process is usually fraught but this was a shambles. It resembled refugees pouring into a camp. There were several stops before we actually got on board. Not a good start.
The ship was clearly faded and clearly in need of upgrading. Going into dry dock was the excuse for many failings. The draught beer ran out on day 2, there were very long queues every day at "customer relations" ( never a good sign on a cruise ship ) dining room staff whilst still attentive lacked the extra sparkle and the service in the bars was slow. Generally, many of the crew were leaving the ship in Singapore and it showed. The one highlight was our cabin steward, Kevin, who although leaving the ship as well, was excellent to the last day.
The cabin was good.Spacious enough with a decent sized balcony. Ample storage space.
