We just got back from an 8 night cruise on the Carnival Sunshine. The entertainment staff was amazing, Calvyn was our cruise director (he rotates to other ships so we lucked out and got him) and he was very funny. The shows were very good. They had 4 shows that I loved. The crew in general worked very hard to make sure we had a great time. Francois in the Portside store was very knowledgeable about duties and went over the rules since our cruise stopped in St. Thomas. We got to buy more liquor than normally. All the bar team at the Alchemy Bar were great (wish I had gotten their names).

The ship's 2.0 updates made for a lot of choices for cruisers. The free lunch options were great-Pasta, Burritos, Stir Fry, Guy's Burgers. Dinner was great in the main dining room. I didn't try any of the specialty restaurants for dinner but I heard only good things about them. We had anytime dining and got to meet a lot of people. The SkyCourse and Slides were fun. The nightlife was fun. Its very cool that they change the liquid lounge to a nightclub when all the shows are over.

The limelight lounge (comedy club) was too small so we never saw the comedy shows. One of the downsides of redoing an older ship.

Great Room. Very convenient to Serenity area and short walk to Lido deck. Our cabin steward Michael was very good. Has a fridge (many rooms on sunshine do not).
