This was our first cruise with MSC and sadly will be our last.  Getting on the ship was easy, the room was good a bit small but alright for a week. The food was excellent quality but a bit samey but then they cannot just pop out to the shops. The waiter in our restaurant was brilliant. The Entertainment was the best we have ever seen on a cruise ship, the bar staff were good but some would rather had not been there. The Reception was a total waste of space, we had our daily programme delivered in French on the first night so we went to them to get an English version and request an English one form then on, quite simple? not a chance everyday it was is in French despite a daily complaint, even on the last day the disembarkation information was given in French i asked for an English one as it was quite important, the Receptionist just said they've all gone and we haven't got any.

Getting off the ship at some ports we asked for some basic local information again they just said, without moving their eyes from the computer screen, "outside only" that was the help offered. The room was kept clean but we did have two dirty glasses left for 4 days, on one occasion they were actually moved to another part of the cabin. At 7 am everyday we were woken by the constant loud chatter and shouting from the room cleaners. I gave our waiter an individual tip but for the first time ever we had the gratuities removed from our bill. They were were not geared up for the English and were not worth a tip. Sadly the Reception and some staff let down the rest of the crew.

Cabin Review

Cabin 5

Quite small, the shower is very small and the curtain sticks to you whilst showering.
