Never again will we be on a cruise that embarks and returns to Manhattan. Having lived and worked in New York in the past, the cruise experience proved again that New York City is for folks who consider self-abuse akin to living some sort of good life. Transportation to and from the cruise terminal is problematic. NYC apparently doesn't consider the volume of cruise passengers important enough to consider the terminal a location that needs reasonable mass transit service.

"Priority Embarkation" in something referenced by signs as some sort of "Captains Lounge"? Was that the place with two people punching out key cards for a sold-out cruise? With chairs and small paper cups of water for the large number of folks waiting?

Disembarkation is a pathetic joke on this boat. Maybe the threats over the loudspeakers intimidate some folks but not at this New York terminal. If you play by the rules, as you are asked to do, you're the fool! If you haul your own off the boat you will find folks already cleared ahead of you who had their luggage portaged down the evening before. BEFORE ANY OF THE ZONES HAVE BEEN CALLED. Weren't you told that if you did that you'd be returned to the boat? (yes, that was the repeated threat.)

Very nice cabin. Was concerned about being close to elevators but proved to be no problem. Loud kids can be found anywhere but we noticed them just one morning.
