Seven couples traveled together of which two were first timers. We all had a great time. Only one rain day in Portland and lovely cool weather the rest of the time. In fact, Quebec was rather warm even for them at this time of the year. We went just to see the fall leaves and were not disappointed once we got into Canada and able to get out of the cities on tours. The countryside was beautiful and many historical churches to see. Everyone spoke English and we used only US money or plastic. We did get change in Canadian curency but used it at the next store.

We arrived a day early before sailing and found cabs in NJ very expensive- $25 each way for a 1.5 mile ride to a nearby church. We were told the hotel shuttle was only for airport use. We stayed at the Doubletree Hilton and that was fine except there was no shopping or other restaurants nearby. Apparently many airlines use that hotel as there was a separate crew lounge. We used the celebrity transfer to the ship and that went fine. Actually, even arrival at pier when smoothly.

Once onboard there was a letter in our cabin telling us our requested 6:00pm dinner time was changed to either 5:30 or 8:00pm. We had to decide. This presented a problem as we wanted to all be together but for health reasona s few had to settle with the early seating. After talking to the Concierge and dning maitre d', I was told that because of the number of seniors on this cruise they requested an earlier seating and Celebrity changed the times. If you took early seating at 5:30pm you either rushed to eat and attend the 7:00pm show or finished eating and than sat around until the 9:00pm show. A few of us tried to do the 8:pm seating but it was after 9:30 or later when we left.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

Appeared somewhat smaller than similar cabin on Millenium but everythign in working order & kept clean. Sofa cushions were uncomfortable to sit there for very long. Got tired of the same afternoon snack in concierge level so requested something different & that was nice. Cabin location was convenient to elevator & library. Deck 7 & midship works best for us. A friend a suite on deck 7 they were very disappointed compared to the suite they had in 2012 on Millenium. There was nothing outstanding about that suite.
