Review for the Western Caribbean Cruise on Caribbean Princess

This was our third cruise. First time on Caribbean Princess. This was suppose to be an Eastern Caribbean cruise but on our way to St. Martin the ship had to change course for the Western Caribbean due to Hurricane Gonzalo that was due to hit St. Martin the same day we were due in port.

Ate most Breakfasts/lunches in the horizon Court. Food was always very tasty and a great variety of options. Had pizza for lunch one day, pizza was very, very good. Ate all but one dinner in the main dining room. Chose anytime dining. Food was very good as well, except for the first couple of nights the vegetables were a little on the salty side. Was disappointing to see people seated in the main dining room on formal nights wearing shorts or very casual clothes, don't know if this is typical for a Caribbean cruise. I know the past two cruise we've been on (Panama and Hawaii) this never happened. Ate one dinner in Sabatini's, was good but I don't think it was any better than what is offered in the Main dining room, just different options.

The only down side we found with the ship was with the placement of the casino. The smell of cigarette smoke would drift throughout that part of the ship up and down several levels. To get from the the piatza to the theater you would have to walk through the smoke filled casino or walk out onto the promenade to avoid that section of the ship.
